History
Vessel Statistics was founded by Roger Duvic, a manager of a pressure vessel fabrication shop. The company emerged from the need to assess older pressure equipment, as clients frequently inquired about the safety and operational limits of their aging equipment.
To address these concerns, the founder began reverse engineering these vessels, determining their construction and compliance with safety standards, including API 510 which had a new certification program which he obtained.
From 1986 to 1995, Vessel Statistics was on every Shell platform in the Gulf of Mexico, inspecting and doing engineering on thousands of vessels. This work evolved into a dedicated business specializing in mechanical integrity, inspection, and engineering, providing valuable insights for clients seeking to ensure the continued safe operation of their equipment.
Through the years Vessel Statistics has evolved to also focus on following the construction of new equipment. Using quality assurance and quality control, we assure that parts are designed and fabricated to withstand the demanding conditions that often lead to premature failure, reinforcing its commitment to safety, reliability, and long-term performance.
